Whatever PC computing you do, irrespective of how powerful your PC’s motherboard or CPU is, it depends on how fast external data can be read to or from your secondary storage devices, eg internal hard disks, SSD drives, M.2 drives , SD cards etc.
Below is a basic comparative test l ran against several storage devices available to me on my main workstation. Motherboard: MSI 570 Creative – running the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X processor, using CrystalDiskMark free software – x64 – click here to download it.
To save space on this due to some large video/photo, 3D rendering/ processing l do – once l am done working on a project with data files on this very fast drive, l move/archive the files l dont need from this prime drive to other much slower drives.
Tests were done on drives l own, just 2 test iterations, 1Gb test setting – the same test on each drive to keep things simple – as shown in screenshots.

PyTorch is an open source machine learning library based on the Torch library,[3][4][5] used for applications such as computer vision and natural language processing,[6] primarily developed by Facebook‘s AI Research lab (FAIR).[7][8][9] It is free and open-source software released under the Modified BSD license. Although the Python interface is more polished and the primary focus of development, PyTorch also has a C++ interface.[10]
A number of pieces of Deep Learning software are built on top of PyTorch, including Tesla Autopilot[11], Uber‘s Pyro,[12] HuggingFace’s Transformers,[13] PyTorch Lightning[14][15], and Catalyst.[16][17]

This is the first time based on an online article l first transcoded each of the videos first to Apple ProRes usning Adobe Media Encoder [trial version], to fill in the “gaps” – from compressed drone/gopro/Pixel4XL video clips.
Music applied [l made this overshadow the original video clips sound tracks]:
